Packing

Tools

Paint: drag over cells to join them to the highlighted island. Shift paints the whole row, right-click erases.

Current

Show current flow C

Pick − or +, then click a pad. The end belongs to that sheet's island; both ends may sit on either sheet.

Rows

− and + take one cell off or add one to that row. Hold Shift to work on the left end instead of the right.

Face

See the other sheet through X

The bottom sheet is the exact mirror of the top; positions are edited on the top view only. The box draws the other plate dashed, through this one, where it lies in the pack.

Islands — colour = one piece

Stripe rows

Geometry

Plate: one solid piece per island, the union of every pad and strap — strongest, and the shortest current path.

Cell guide slits

Pad D 18.0

Strap W 18.0

Kerf 0.10

Margin 8

Precision 0.10

Drag a slider — the sheet follows while the thumb is still down, and one Ctrl+Z undoes the whole drag. ↺ or a double-click resets one slider, reset does all of them.

Raise Strap W to about the cell pitch for a solid plate; lower it for narrow nickel straps. The weld-line cut needs the strap under about half the pitch, or the bands meet and the slots close up. Guide slits are 1.2 mm wide, keep a rim of pad at both ends, and can sit on either cut style.
